THE UK SCHOOLS

The Trust sends its students to two excellent language schools, with which it has long-established links. The schools are Central School, 1 Tottenham Court Road, London, and CES-Oxford House in the village of Wheatley, five miles from Oxford.

The contrasting locations of the two schools – one in the heart of the capital city, the other in a delightful countryside village, yet near to the attractions of Oxford – allow applicants a distinct choice. In both cases, excellent tuition, the companionship of students from all over the word, and plentiful opportunities for recreational trips, give the students a wonderful experience during their month’s stay. Both schools value the ethos of the Monte San Martino Trust and, in their feedback, frequently remark that MSMT students set a fine example both in and out of the classroom. Study programmes at the schools are approximately 25 hours a week, leading up to a certificate.

For Central School students, home stay accommodation is with a family in London zones 3 or 4. At Wheatley, home stay is within walking distance from the school, which has a kitchen for self-catering at lunch. Home stay in both London and Wheatley provides students with a single room, and breakfast and an evening meal five nights a week. Students often pay tribute to the kindness of the families who accommodate them, and welcome opportunities to practise their English with their hosts.
